CellGenix develops novel and effective therapeutics with the aid of the most advanced technologies from the fields of cell biology, molecular biology and immunology. The research and development activities of CellGenix focus on diseases with a large and growing need for medicinal therapies: cancer and degenerative/ traumatic bone and cartilage disorders. For patients with Non-Hodgkin´s B-cell lymphomas CellGenix is developing a patient-specific recombinant vaccine. This idiotype vaccine (IdioVax®) is currently in a Phase II clinical trial, which is performed in cooperation with the University Medical Center and the Center for Clinical Research in Freiburg. The product has already obtained EMEA´s Orphan Drug status and a Phase III trial is scheduled to begin early next year. |
